Edge

 

The edge of a coin where you should hold it.  This is not the flat front or back, but the actual side. 

 

Eye Appeal

 

A very subjective grading element.  Eye appeal is the term used to describe the attractiveness of a coin.  This of course can vary from one collector to another.  Some collectors find some toning has eye appear while others view toning as unsightly.
